Van Gough @ Lume

The dynamic images of Van Gough's paintings were displayed on multifaceted walls, within a theatre space. The designed moving images were timed to the classical sound tracks, adding to the infered emotions of the painting. THe darkness of the room - in stark contrast to the vibrance of the images. People would come and go. Background noises - a quiet chatter, and exclamation and a sigh. Different groups do their own different thing. Everyone experiencing the dramatisation, in their own way, giving special meaning to themselves alone. Enhancing the overall encounter - a girl would pirrouette across the base of the largest wall, a photo here, a cup of coffee over there.
